Our new mortar hall is officially open.
A special milestone for Hermes Technologie
After several months of construction, the time had finally come on September 4, 2026: Together with customers, business partners, friends, families, and our team, we celebrated the completion and official opening of our new mortar hall.
Where our old building stood at the beginning of the year, something new has taken shape step by step over the past few months. An intensive period filled with many decisions, challenges, and the occasional unplanned hurdle lies behind us—making it all the more rewarding to celebrate this special milestone together.
A look back at a special construction phase
The celebration was opened with personal remarks from Tim and Eileen Hermes. Special thanks went to their father, Rainer Hermes, who took over construction management throughout the entire build phase and accompanied the creation of the new hall from start to finish.
Following that, Rainer took our guests on a journey through the past months once again. From the initial work and the demolition of the old hall to the various construction phases and final completion, he shared stories of the challenges and, of course, the many successes along the way. Especially in the final weeks leading up to the opening, it became clear once again what is possible with great dedication and a strong team.
Opened Together, Celebrated Together
After the official part, it was time to celebrate. Over delicious food, cold drinks, and a beer or two, our guests connected with one another and took the opportunity to explore our new facilities at their leisure. A DJ provided the right musical backdrop, and the opening eventually transitioned into a relaxed evening filled with great conversations, encounters, and shared memories.
We would like to thank everyone who celebrated this special day with us—and above all, everyone who contributed over the past few months to making our new mortar hall a reality.
From Old to New
With the new hall, we are not just creating more space. We are creating new opportunities for our production, development, and future projects. After all the months of planning and construction, we are especially looking forward to bringing the new mortar hall to life. Here is to many more ideas, projects, and of course, plenty of ERGELIT®!
